Lyrics

The last leaf of autumn resists the ground
Falling slowly in the wind
For it knows when it lands without a sound
It's a dream that could never begin

He moves so slowly in his day by day
Hoping to turn on the light
But he doesn't because it's not perfectly his way
It's a spark that could never ignite.

We wear our hearts on our sleeves
And we use our sleeves as our walls
Because there are only so many relationships
And not enough time to sync them all

The first breath of spring is such a tease
Giving all life hope of warmth
But soon you feel the stab of that icy cold breeze
And it snows two more months in the north

At the end of her day she stares at the wall
Thinking of all that she hates
For there's no room for passion in ordinary people
All her dreams they'll just have to wait.

We wear our hearts on our sleeves
And we use our sleeves as our walls
Because there are only so many relation ships
Not enough time to sink them all

We waste so much time everyday
But is it our time to be wasted?
For time is all we really have
Can it be borrowed,
Can it be tasted?
No it can't.
